「袓赫拉」是阿富汗獲獎的第一支女性管弦樂團。塔利班政權重新執政後，對女性及音樂實行極端限制和殘暴手段，使管弦樂團面對更大的威脅。喀布爾淪陷後，仍留在阿富汗的女孩們開始躲起來，而那些成功逃離的女孩們則發起一場國際運動要來營救那些樂團成員們。他們能否克服重重困難讓樂音繼續悠揚呢？
